I've been a crazed knife nut for a long long time now and figured that I should finally join fellow knife nuts. I don't know why I haven't joined the forum sooner but here I am and I look forward to learning, chatting, and drooling over knives.
Let's see off the top of my head this is my knife collection; Spyderco Persistence, SOG Flash I, SOG Twitch II, Rat 1, Mora 780, Cold Steel Finn Bear, CRKT Lake 111, Kabar Camp Knife, ESEE-6, Gerber Magnum(First knife and still going strong 15+ years later), Air Force Survival Knife, Gransfor Bruks Scandinavian Forest Axe, Gransfor Bruks Wildlife Hatchet, Cold Steel Trail Hawk, Becker BK-9, Numerous Victorinox Classics, Leatherman Surge, Leatherman Squirt PS4, Kabar TDI,... I'm sure I have a couple more but can't remember.
Mostly cheap everyday users and some nicer woods tools. I'd like to start learning about collecting valuable knives and I've been into knife making and sheath making. I just started sharpening knives commercially and can achieve stupidly sharp edges. I've sharpened around 30 knives and around 5 shears. It's dawned on me that I can make money with this hobby I love. What little testing the water I've done so far I've really enjoyed it and enjoyed the reaction I've gotten from people. I'd like to get filthy rich from this but at the very least I would be more than happy having this hobby support itself financially and if I could make knives in retirement for a little extra cash that would be awesome. I want to do something and remain active in retirement and to make knives would be a dream.
My first knife was the Gerber Magnum my father gave to me for hunting. I never had to use it for it's intended use(processing meat), never shot any deer. Maybe one day I'll try hunting again, perhaps. My current edc knife is the SOG Twitch II and I also carry the Leatherman Squirt PS4. I like small compact and light edc things. Uh... I'd like to own a Busse, that'd be cool to have but than there's so many knives out there that I'd like to own. Too many to list.
bla bla bla, lol Anyways yeah that's a little bit of my story. Thanks for taking the time to read it and I look forward to being a member here.
