I'm putting together a knife/tool field maintenance kit. I only want it to contain items specific to this task. I have a fire kit,first-aid kit, repair kit. I am disgustingly organized like that. In my kit so far I have a small India stone in homemade leather sheath, Smiths retractable diamond rod, homemade 2-sided strop (will have compound but its not here yet), a small bottle of mineral oil, a mini generic shammy towel and an allen wrench. What other items would you guys put in this kit? The first photo is my kit thus far--the second photo is so this thread has required Becker content.

Maybe a Scotchbrite pad cut in half for cleaning off the tough stuff. Should the need arise.
Nice kit. It's handy to have stuff individually organized like that.

For field maintenance I don't carry a strop or diamond rod. My kit only has a small whetstone (med/fine), Vasoline - either cotton balls or stored in chap stick container, Allen wrench, & bee's wax. I try to make sure that everything I carry has at least two uses. The Allen wrench and whetstone are pretty much single use but bee'swax and vasoline each have multiple uses so it kinda balances out.

Where did that photo come from.....Did I appear hung over or was I just pissed off..... LOL....
