What is essential to knife repair and maintenance?

IMG_0210.jpg

I got drivers, small Opinel, screws, clips, SAK parts and misc. parts, and some scales.
What's in your box?

Cool idea (I like looking at other peoples tools ;)).

First pic are some of my driver bits (99% Wiha. 1/4"and micro). I have more that I use in my garage, but these are my "travel cases".

These are some of my bit drivers (again, more in my garage). The top 3 I "made" myself. Top 2 are 1/4" (converted flathead screwdrivers), the third one down is a file handle with a micro bit holder driven into it. And the bottom one is a Wiha micro bit driver that I carry attached to one of my boots (there are several bits inside the handle.

Here's a pic of my assorted micro screws, nuts, and washers (0-80, 1-72, 2-56, and metrics 3mm and smaller). I use these more for building and modifying knives rather than maintaining them.

And here are various assorted knife parts.

Whoa! You guys are sure well organized! My toolbox  is more a buncha stuff, various bits, drivers, hones, spare clips, etc.

If I don't put it in a box, my stuff gets sprawled all over my work table.
Sometimes never to be seen again.

I forgot my sharpening stuff. Not much, but after more than 40 years of sharpening knives it turns out to be all I need at this point in my life. Two pocket DMT diamond hones (fine and coarse), and a set of cheap diamond files (Amazon). I used to have 3 of the large DMT diamond plates (fine, coarse, extra-extra coarse), but I found myself never using them so I gave them away. I used the XX-coarse to regrind edges on fixed-blades, but my fixed-blade buying days are over. On the rare occasion I need to re-grind the edge on a folder, I found that I prefer to use the diamond files (just 2 of the files actually).

And just for the hell of it (and because I like posting pics), here's a bunch of handle making material (various thicknesses and textures of G10 and micarta), and a sheet of phosphor bronze for custom washers.
