What was the duplex knife grind designed for? I recently came across this style and would like to find a blank or get a blank made for a hunting knife but I don't know if it would be good or bad for use as a hunting knife. Any input is appreciated.
Thanks

Since you didn't specify a company, the general idea seems to either be a slicing blade with a heavy duty tip, or a slicing/puncturing tip with a heavy duty or "scandi" edge near the handle, presumably for woodwork. I guess it depends on the type of knife and what it is meant to do. Any particular company?
