What's it like?

I have been enjoying knives for years now in one form or another but, it has always been production knives. I have never owned a custom folding knife. What is it like? How is it different from production folders? There are knives I would dearly like to handle just to see what the hubbub is all about. I have 2xl paws so I would like to know I an Umnumzaan or some other custom would be worth saving up for. Can you folks help me out here with some advice? Thanks in advance for you thoughts and time.
