here is a greenhorn question for everyone.ive got $100.00 burning a hole in my pocket for tools.i narrowed it down to a few choices, bechtop drill press, delta 8 inch variable speed bench grinder,mapp/oxygen torch setup (50 $ @ homedepot) i think i might have too much need to use such a little torch. any other suggestions will be appreciated.I already have a 1x 30 delta and am planning to build a 2 x 72 :jerkit: could be a waste of time but its worth a try.

The drill press. With a few attachments it is my best choice. With a sanding drum you can contour shape. With a 6-inch sanding disc and a good drill press vise you can mill perfect spacers from odd shaped wood. With a strong magnet you can use the same disc sander and have a metal surface grinder. So you get a multiple use tool for the price of one. All that for the 100.00 burning a hole in your pocket.

I'll second the drill press. Don't get suckerd into buying one of the mapp/oxy outfits if its one with the oxy bottle the same size as the mapp gas cylinder. The oxy cylinder is good for a couple minutes if that.

thanks again guys i dont know what i was thinking pondering the minitorch.
that makes perfect sense to me ray.on the bigger setups we change the oxy twice for one acetaylne:o maybe if i'm a good kid santa will bring me a set of regulators:)
