Hey everyone! Just stopping in after xmas.....its been busy!
What has everyone been up to and what did you score for xmas?
I got a metal-cutting bandsaw (thank god!), two absurdly nice blocks of ironwood that I will cut up, and a nice 1.5"x19"x1/4"thich 400 layer damascus billet that I will cut in half and make a pair of knives from....
I was busy in the shop pre-xmas. Made a nice damascus letter opener for my mother, a damascus pocket fixed blade for my grandfather, a traditional carving dinner set for my GF's mother....
Im just starting back on normal work. Finishing up a custom copy of my "Bullpup" knife with a longer handle for a customer and then I am free and clear.
Things on my january to do list:
-Make second folder imporving where the last lacked, then throw it into a passaround for user reviews
-Make a full-size competition cutter from 1/4" 0-1.
-Attempt first tapered tang
I dunno why im posting this...mainly because ive been lurking and not posting for a while!
