I know this thread has been done to death, but I'm getting that o-so-familiar itch!! No, not herpies. The itch for a new BK! This forum has been amazing with past suggestions so I'm asking for advice once again. So, I got the 7, then 9, then 14. Now I'm looking for something I could EDC but doesn't have to be tiny. Just a good mid size blade......

thanks,
dan

16 or 17 (although I tend to lean towards 16, the 17 accomplishes the exact same things and a very, very few that the 16 can't due to the pointier tip).

I let my guard down a few days ago and I am now the proud owner of a BK-16. Where will it end ?

Bk12? It seems like a good compromise between the bk2 and the bk7. Does anyone have one? How does the quality of the knife and the sheath hold up? Would you choose it over a Bk2?

I've got a bk2 and a bk17 , I have a bk9 , a bk4 , and a bk14 with the factory scale set on the way. Since you already have a 14 , I'd say go the 17 , make a very nice EDC. My bk14 is gonna be my EDC/work knife , so it's gonna cut a lot of shrink wrap on pallets , open boxes , cut packing tape and thick strapping. I haven't actually used my bk17 for anything yet , but it looks like it could handle anything I could throw at it. Btw I wanted the orange handle option because I work in a warehouse lol. Ppl can't say my knife isn't safe because it has hi vis scales :)

I'd go with the BK-16 or BK-17 as others have suggested. If that isn't quite enough knife for you, then the BK-10 which is just a smaller version of the BK-7. That is probably the next Kabar Becker that I will purchase.

I really appreciate all the suggestions! Seems like I should go with any one of the tweeners, lol. Was hoping for a more one-sided response. That just goes to show how amazing these blades are. And addicting. I went from not knowing what BKT was to owning 3 in less than a month! And now I can't wait to own another!!
