What's next after PM2?

I'm still happily using my S30V Para 2, but I'm getting the itch to try something new. What's the next logical step after the PM2 for daily medium to heavy use? I have no Benchmades, no ZT, no CRK or other midtech, no comparable Spydies. I'm mostly a fixed blade guy. I'm fond of slicers and full flat grinds, but enjoy blades like the Ritter Grip. I know about a lot of these blades second hand from info on here, but rarely if ever get a chance to handle them. Price range is up to $150 or so. Any input would be great!

Give a Gayle Bradley a go. Tough as nails, great edge retention, wonderful fit and finish.

Other than that, maybe a Spyderco Techno. I'm all about blade steels, though, so most of my suggestions in that price range are going to be Spyderco. The only ZT I've used and can recommend is the 0561, and that averages between $200-220.

I'd guess the Manix2 XL. It's a pretty nice slicer, ffg, and has some decent thick stock. I like the ergos, very comfy. If all else fails, the Mlitary, 4" ffg goodness.

ZT 0561, or Spyderco Southard if you want to try a flipper. ZT 0551 if you don't.

I love my 551, but still carry, and use, my PM2 every day.

Manix 2, I bought the DLC version and I have to say I am using it more than my Para 2. Very solid, opens as quick as the Para 2 great, great Ergo's I can find nothing wrong with this knife. For the money it is hard to beat. I also have a ZT 0550, also a great knife and the size is more in line with the Para 2 than the 560's, it is a bit of a brick though and for that reason I don't carry it a lot. Also love the Native 5 if you are looking for something a little smaller but no too small.

I'll also say try out the Gayle Bradley. Absolutely a phenomenal user, and the steel's performance will blow you away.

I think I'm looking for something a bit larger, so the Military and Manix XL have caught my eye so far. I'm actually willing to spend a good bit more, provided it is a knife that I wouldn't be afraid to put through its paces. Definitely want an upgrade from s30v, just to try something new out. I'm very tempted by the sound of that Cruwear Military but haven't seen any pics yet. Thanks for all the suggestions so far guys.

I currently EDC a PM2, next up in the rotation (when it arrives) will be a CRK Sebenza with Micarta inlays.

I find the Manix a little heavy for comfortable carry, that said its a brilliant knife.

My 2 current most carried knives.

I would second the spyderco Military or even the ZT0561 ; ) BTW speaking of Gayle Bradley above I got to meet him and his wife at the Dallas Gun N Knife show this weekend at his custom knife maker booth. I also visited the spyderco booth and was surprised to find a few" factory fresh" PM2's at reasonable prices and procured a digi camp and black blade version.

It's not a FFG, but I'd suggest the Spyderco Yojimbo 2.

Just go with what you like the best. You'll get many suggestions here, but we don't really know what you would like the best.
