Yea, the dots are really low on that one. My Three Dot has dots right across the middle

Bucksway.......where are you, man?

This is a nice knife but unfortunately it appears to have had a tiny bit broken off the tip and been sharpened up to make a new tip.

Bizarre dots, though......you are right, Sithus.....I've never seen a stamp like that one before.

Darn you BG,

how many of you guys are looking at your 112 dots? Of the 4 three dots in the cabinet all are centered. However, I have a 112 one dot that has the dot at the bottom....now I have to pull out the over flow box and have a look. I'll take a photo of what bottom stamps I find Sunday.

Did he say he has a 112 One-Dot???

Darn you, JB!!!

I never heard of a 112 One-Dot before!!!

Here is mine.

Anybody come up with any other bottom stamps like this one......JB?

Bucksway?

I'm not going to bid on it, BTW, I just don't like to buy blades that are even a little snub-nosed.

But it sure is unusual......maybe they just used that stamp a few times and then trashed it.

False alarm BG,

The knife is a used older knife and what looked like a stamp of 112. is just a pit on the blade. I did know there was some pitting on the blade in this area, however, I did not know the pit was what I thought was a dot and that the pit's I saw were the dot's....LOL (old eyes) I got out the loop to see it better and you can also see the dot's and the pit clearly in the photo.

Here is another auction with a stamp like the one you posted.

I'll post some photo's of it when in hand:thumbup:

:)

What a relief!

I don't need another mystical Buck to chase.

As to the knife in question.....we'll call it the "Bottom Dotted Three-Dotter" and I'll be watching for one with a full blade.

May take a while to find one. But if it was easy it wouldn't be fun.

:D

First of all, (aside from any stamp question).....you probably did REAL good on that one.

I was watching it and because it was on for ten days I was going to wait a couple more days before making an offer.

Then I see you nailed it......AND at a great price. It's a bit of a gamble because of the poor pictures, but I was willing to take that gamble even if I'd had to pay more than you did.

But how can you know for sure that it's bottom-stamped? Did you get him to send you more pics? Or did you just mean that it's a Three-Dotter?

Are we gonna get a report, JB???

And where's Bucksway to comment on the weird stamp that started all this?

:eek::eek::eek:

You can see the stamps very good in the bottom photo in the auction. I was not looking at this 112 for a bottom stamp....just nice stag on an older 112:thumbup: I look at these older 3 dot stag 112's and compair them to the buck web special 3 dot elkies for price any way (you see I over paid by $35).

Well, JB.......I really blew this one.

:grumpy::grumpy::grumpy:

I sent him a question about dots and he responded that it was a Three-Dotter.

So I knew that part of it......but apparently he ADDED a pic to show the dots after that and I never looked at the pics again so I never saw that it was bottom-stamped.

If I had SEEN that I probably would have made an offer sooner.

This is only the second bottom-stamp that I have ever seen, BTW......although I haven't been looking at 112s real hard for more than a couple years.

You didn't overpay, you got a GREAT deal if the knife checks out ok when you get it.

How you ever got them to take an offer that low I'll never know.

Cool, Fritz!!!

Now I've seen three of them.

That's a Three-Dot variation I haven't got, so here we go again.

:D
