What's on your Christmas list ?

When you make that list for Santa / wife / family;
what is it that you ask for that you havn't bought yourselves ?

Or what is it you buy for yourself and you put "from Santa" on

I like reading other people's lists, gives me ideas for my own.

Further to Nick's post
TSC puts the cheap T8's on sale here in Canada and at $18 ish it's always easy for me to add one more
It's a good thing they work in the wifies sewing room too

For the lathe, I think I want a quick change AXA toolpost and a bunch of holders

My digital camera was new 10+ years ago or so and it's time for a new one, but
that needs a ton more of research.

I just bought a drill dr and wish I had one years ago.
I should stock up on wheels for it.

I asked for one of those Hall effect sensors direct from HK/china on ebay, 4 digit rpm digital read out.
For the lathe / mill when I do the variable speed conversion on them.

Are there any knife videos and books I don't know about ?

I want permenant propane vented heater in the shop, but that's $1,000
I'm going to have to do that myself.

I bought some of the FREE Starrett well charts online and I'm going to make them into plaque it mounted posters

I'm going to do that, but with a french cleat type of mount on the back.

"Santa" is getting me an ice ball maker. Perfect for a glass of whisky on news year eve. The ice melts slower as there is less surface area, making your drink less watery. I can't wait to try it out...

I asked my Wife for sand paper, belts, and a KMG tooling arm (Bader III Style) with a flat platen, so I can finally use my Nathan radius platens.

9" variable speed disc grinder and a Nikon d3300 are on my wish list for Christmas. Hoping to add the grinder for sure. May have to wait till Feb on the camera (kids come first at Christmas). Both will be welcome additions to my shop though.

Noga indicator base, USA chucking reamers, kant twist clamps, OSG spiral point taps, USA carbide burrs, spotting drills. Should be fun.

I suggest that you do a little study to see if it does melt slower. Have many glasses with the ice ball and quite a few with the ice cubes us peasants use. Let us know what you think. Enjoy.

I just found a Makers Mark promo that is a tray that makes 4 ice balls. I'm making ice tonite. :)

Higher values of n = better data

Clamps, that's a good one.

The kant twist are great with very versatile clamping cubes on the ends. The strong hold 4 in 1 seem pretty cool too. I bought way too many, but I won't need another clamp for a long time. That what I told my wife. ;)

I got my GF the d3300 last year and it's been a blast. I use it more than she does.

If you're not familiar with manual cameras, it has an auto setting for point and shoot.

Rock, the d3300 was released in the first quarter of 2014. Are you sure you're not referring to the d3200? I will be shooting in manual btw. Kinda defeats the purpose of owning a DSLR if you're going to shoot in auto. :)

I have some Kant Twist
of course I want more

It's hard to love a C clamp once you have used those

The first ones I bought were WAY over priced by Newman tools, they drop shipped direct from the distributor and hosed me hard on the price
never dealt with them again.

I made up for that by finding some locally on clearance for $5 each.

I would love a pile of big ones so I could replace my six and eight inch c clamps

I should get a bunch of those clothes pin type ones too

Thanks for showing these
The attachments look very handy

They come made of silicone and make four at a time. My buddy has one and they are the best for Bourbon!

Adam, I bought the nearly identical Nikon D 3200 about 8 months ago and this week I have been seeing fantastic prices on them. I have about 9 Nikon cameras dating all the way back to 1968 so I keep up on them. Shop the internet hard and you will get one cheap but beware of non USA warranties. Start at B&H in New York for a price . Happy Holidays. Larry PS make sure you get a SD card with the camera. LL

For clamps and machining goods, enco pricing is great and with the 30% off they do a few times a year it's even better. You just have to watch cause on heavy stuff 20% off and free shipping might be better. Zoro is having 25% off on nf and their shipping is always free over $50 I believe.

I'm with Adam on wanting a 9" variable speed/ reversible disc grinder... along with the adjustable tool rest that beaumont metalworks makes

Only dreamin of course :D

I definitely have some experimenting to do...
