Well, it's that time of year again; Time for family, good food, and holiday wish lists. This got me to thinking about wish lists in general and I was curious.

If you had to make a wish list, comprised only of outdoors/bushcraft gear(either favorites that you have and appreciate, or would like to but will probably never obtain) what would be on it?

Well I've just got the latest Filson brochure in the mail and said to the wife if we ever win the lotto I'm gonna buy the store out.

Well I've been on a bit of a buying binge the last few months as far as bushcraft gear goes... so really all that's left on my list right now is a 5.11 Rush 72 pack for it to all go in :p

Great topic!

There is a lot of stuff i want, but at the top of my head is....

Ahti knives "Metsa" aka "Forest" (which i am receiving tomorrow :D )

Wetterlings Large hunters axe (which should be arriving by the end of the week)

An Osprey Aether 85 (hopefully in the spring)

and a new sleeping bag, but i haven't decided on one that i want yet.

it is a toss up between a katadyn pocket filter or a damascus golok form valiant.

Don't have a pressing need for anything, but I'd like to have a Marmot Helium Membrain sleeping bag, and a Mystery Ranch Glacier backpack. Too much for Christmas gifts(certainly not going to ask anyone for either), but I'll probably get both next year.
Oh, and some new wool or wool blend bottom baselayers. When it gets too chilly for my flyweight synthetics, I'm still using the GI 50% cotton/50% wool bottoms that I was issued 20 years ago.

Those katadyn PFs are awesome. Well worth the coin.

I'm in need of a new extra warm parka/belay jacket for camping/skiing in the mountains.

Off the top of my head.

I would love a wool anorak like Rick has made. (Going to try and make one!!)
A new pair of good fitting boots.
A good set of rain gear.

40+ acres of heavily wooded land next to a lake in Montana.

The lake is classified as food and water gathering gear, the woods as shelter/fire/food gathering gear.

that old surplus down mummy bag ive used for 20+ yrs
has way too much duct tape holding the stuffing in.
time fer a new one.
but there are so many great bags out there
and you get what ya pay for...
oh hell, maybe ill just keep using that bag till it wont stay together anymore...

LAND, LAND, LAND, LAND, LAND, LAND, LAND, I think you get the point. Cpl punishment nailed it. Gotta have land above all.

Get another surplus one.
The ECW (down) and ICW (synthetic) bags were heavy, but great bags. They are also quite roomy and comfortable. They've been going for cheap on the Bay.

I was blessed early, no knives but a new companion and some fun for my oldest and me.

I'll get pics up when I can put my hands on a digcam, till then...

I'm now the caretaker of a Maisy looking pit "Roxy" she's 7 but been a member of the family since she's a pup.
My brother-n-law has done some bad deeds which he must payback with doing some time. sucks but no bad deed goes unpunished.:foot:

Bought a Polaris quad racer and been hitting the trails with my oldest who turned 4 yesterday

I did however dropped 150$ into my B.o.B last week, added some little knickknacks like sturdy leather gloves, hand warmers, LED tac flashlight on special at costco, some energy bars, loads of snare wire, new tarp, pelican case for psk and another fiskar axe.

for my Christmas wish list, it's pretty much blank but if I get anything outdoorsy I'll be happy, probably some ice fishing stands (mine are old and need some tlc) and a gas auger would make life easier to drill my holes.:D

Amen brother.

I have enough freaking gear for 4 people. The small bits of acreage I have in FL aren't cutting it anymore. I need some nice dirt in big piles (mountains), and a lake or at least a big pond. Just that damn money thing keeps popping up.

Lee reloading kit from Cabella.
Hand-crank tumbler for ammo casings.
Pressure cooker for canning.
Blackhawk SERPA holster for the new Para-USA Para 1911 GI Expert.

I'm crapped outta luck though, because the GI Expert took up all my "But, honey it'll be my birthday AND my Christmas present!" excuse.
So now I just gotta sneak and buy as money allows!

I'm hoping for a Casio Pathfinder watch or a Panasonic point and shoot. I've dropped enough hints that Santa, aka my wife, is probably just going to give me coal :D

1) Kifaru E&E

2) Vic XAVT (just like to have it as I have the XXLT)

3) Full fur bodied Ushanka (mink or fox)

4) The ability to go back in time visit some of the people whom I loved the most in my life
