It took over 2 months, and was a minor/major hassle, but my Curio & Relic license finally came... so.

Santa's bringing a Swiss K-31 7.5x55 Schmidt-Rubin carbine, and since it's been a bad year, a Mosin-Nagant M38. Both handpicks, owner tag under buttplate on the K-31.

Arguably, I have enough khukuris (if it's SWMBO doing the arguing :p :foot: ).

What's on your wish list?

I'm going off the air shortly (like Sarge) so Merry Christmas, and thanks for another year of wisdom, laughs, lunacy and everything else, shared.

:D

$30, a clean record, and writer's cramp.

Also patience.

Hope Santa brings you whatever frosting you need for your beautiful life cake, munk.

No firearms for me this Christmas. I really want a .45 revolver, but... I am getting hooked up with several knives, I hope. I know for a fact that I'm getting a Leatherman Crunch. I need another multitool like i need another hole in the head (enter the .45 I suppose). Anyway, the mailman dropped off a box today and I noticed the return address.
Anyway, nothing exciting, but I'm hoping this year the inlaws cough up some better stuff for me. Last year they got me a digital camera printer...for my wife's camera:rolleyes: Gee, thanks.
Anyway, Have a Merry Christmas, Mike:) We'll see ya when you get back on the grid.

AA, you're an inspiration. I'll just have to apply for mine now. I have an M44 and a 91/30. The latter unfired (by me, anyway).

I'm gunned up ATM...

I saw this today and looked through it a bit, it's either going to be heavily dropped as a hint for Christmas or be part of my HI rebate program (I use an Amazon card to pay when something big pops up, earning gift certificates).

I browsed through it a bit and it was pretty interesting, it describes the Soviet Union's propaganda efforts against us in the third world.

I bought a new computer.... I mean, SANTA bought me a new computer. But why am I missing money? Lousy ineffective Santa.

Dang Santa is buying me a Solid Works workstation for $3000 dollars so I can work even when I'm not at work. No rest for the wicked and whatnot. Coal in your stocking when you're bad my ass.....

Congrats on the C+R, I've considered getting one myself. The K-31 is a neat rifle to say the least ~ I promise you that you will never own another military rifle that has as good of a trigger (unless it has been reworked). Prvi Partisan makes reloadable ammo that you can buy at the shows for $8.95 many times.

It's just another name for souped up computer for doing Solid Works, which is a 3D CAD program. Allows you to do stress analysis too. To get the most out of it you need a special graphics card and a ton of RAM. The kids will not be on this computer surfing the web so that it can get infested with uglies!

It's my gift to myself. This way I can commute a total of 2.5 hours a day, work 10-12hrs, and work some more at night and on the weekends. Sweet. I should have built that cabin in the woods and ate nuts, berries and God's critters like I had intended to all my younger life.;)

All this complaining makes me want to buy another .22 rifle to make me feel better. Seems to work when the wife buys herself a new pair of shoes...

As if we haven't heap enough praise on the humble K31 around here, I've been shooting mine quite a bit the last few days.

Besides the old world quality ("Built like a Swiss rif...err, watch") and extreme accuracy of my example, they simply are a joy to shoot. The triggers are wonderful, everything is tight, they're heavy enough to settle out nicely, and you're going to wonder how a 174-grain bullet can kick so softly. (The K31 doesn't kick, it pushes.)

Unlike some of my other milsurps, I'm quite sure that I'm not shooting anywhere near the rifle's capabilities yet. One day I'll be able to use a tangent sight competently, but it's taking time. Every so often everything comes together and I wind up with a group that makes my jaw drop.

The GP11, if you can find it, is superb. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for the Partizan and the Wolf. It hasn't shown up around here yet.

I had a very good gun year in 05, so there are presently no affordable firearms left over for my Christmas wish list.

I did ask Santa for a heavier tomahawk; muzzleloading accessories; some picks and strings; a new holster for my 1911; world peace; and a case of 9mm ammo.

As usual, though we have adequate money, we're broke. Why is that? Well. House, truck, Doctors....

But I do have my 89 Dollar coat.

I know what you're thinking....coulda had ona them K31's..

munk, I thought you had better sense and more faith in the rest of us. If you would have bought the K-31 I would have sent you a jacket so you wouldn't freeze! But conversely, I sure as hell am not sending you my K-31!:D

Hopefully Santa is buying me a new Home Pasteurizer. My old one is nearly 20 years old and looks kinda rough.

However I bought a laminated M44 last week, and I have an Albanian SKS on the way to my local FFL I got. This will make my third. I have a Russian, a Yugo M59 already. I need to pick up one of the 59/66's while they are still cheap too. I have read several articles about SKS's being used in crimes, which only makes sense since they are cheap and there's a lot of them around, so in case some misguided politician bans their import I say stock up now:thumbup:

I was outside earlier shooting my CZ52, my Blackhawk(getting a little better with this one but I can shoot circles around it with the CZ52) and my little Taurus 62 pump .22. I love that little Taurus more all the time. So fun to shoot and shoots great:D

Oh man, I want a raise. I've just had three kids' birthdays in a row. One a week for three weeks and Christmas coming up. You might see me as the new part time Wal-Mart greeter before it's over.

Got my gift early a 6' tall wood standing Buddha nicely carved. One of the hands holds a removable prayer wheel.
