What's some good ISPs guys?

I've been on cable internet for a year and a half now. I just don't surf the web or download enough stuff anymore to need it or want to pay $45 for it so I'm thinking about changing isps. I thought I'd ask you folks for some isp recommendations that I could test drive before I kill my cable account. I heard about a $10 a month dsl offer from some outfit, is that for real and if it is, who's offering it? Thanks up front!!!

Internet access is definitely a "you get what you pay for" operation. There are a number of dialup ISPs with "boost" options. Peoplepc.com and NetZero.com are the two biggies, but check out your options. Most end up being about $15/month...
