What's that knife? (The Walking Dead)

Saw this post a few days ago and was wondering what kind of knife Maggie is holding. Looks to be modeled after the classic military knives, but with a tanto tip.

I haven't watched Walking Dead myself since season 3, but I always have an eye out for knives and gadgets. :)

I'd say ... KaBar Combat or Short Combat, either in Tanto or reprofiled to Tanto.

I'd say the same, when I first looked at it something told me it was reprofiled. :confused: It also seems to have a slight hawkbill curve to it rather than a straight edge.

Also, since this is just a for fun post, what's that gun? and would carrying your extra ammo like that be a viable way? (not a gun person)
 
Its a revolver of some kind, I've carried ammo like that many many times over the years and it works just fine. Not the fastest way to load but faster than digging in your pockets for it.

Ammo looks like .357mag with lead cast bullets.

Yes, very viable. Ask any Lone Ranger or Mexican Bandit. ;) Of course, speed loaders would be preferred. But then her character would look more 'tactical' and not the 'gunslinger' she supposed to be.
 
This my horseback pistol belt and knife, I've traveled a lot of miles using this rig.
