Whats the best benchmade workhorse knife???

The first thing that comes to mind is a griptilian. But have you considered a 755 MPR? It's a Sibert design and has M 390 blade steel.

Workhorse: 710 (M390)

EDC in Jeans: 710 (M390)

EDC in Slacks: 940

Skip the Grips and gun for the gold.

The 710 gets my vote. Very nice no-nonsense working knife.

The Griptilian is nice for lighter duty / EDC, but I prefer the 710 for harder work.

All the Benchmade blades I've handled seemed to be designed first as good cutting tools. I have a 710 and a Mini-Rukus, both built like tanks, that I would trust to hold up under heavy use.

for me its the adamas 275 tied with the 810 contego both beefy knives but they can take a beating and just keep begging for more.

I agree with these for workhorse knives. I think all benchmades are good working knives, depending on your work. These 2are the biggest and toughest.

Agree. Any Benchmade I have ever owned or handled has been well designed and highly functional.

i'm actually trying to abuse my 275 as much as possible , I can get it rebladed for 30 bucks anyway, it's a hell of a knife and is tough as nails. I cut up a bunch of redbull cans and it barely even scratched the coating, I gotta think of more ways to punish this beast. Also have done the twist cut method on the industrial strength zipties that has ruined many of edges but not the 275, I dunno what i can do to this knife that it wont take. Only thing I won't do is spinewhacks, completely pointless IMO
