What's the best between:

The LMF II has a ~5" blade and is a heavy utility design with its low sabre grind on likely 3/16" or 1/4" stock. The Battle Rat has a 9.5" blade and works well as a mini-machete and pseudo axe.

Fishing, hunting and camping, is often better approached with bushcraft vs survival knives. Bushcraft knives are optomized for lighter weight and higher cutting performance, whereas survival blades are designed for high stress and prying, hammering, and heavy impacts.

A Mora 2000 does will as a Bushcraft role. It doesn't have the plexiglas breaker, or spear notches as the LMF II, but you are probably not going to use them a lot camping and fishing, and the very high cutting ability and comfortable handle of the Mora will be appreciated.

For cutting poles for roasting fish, or walking sticks, a nice fairly stout 12" machete works well. Barteaux and Martindale make solid blades in this class, Martindale has many more models, but the stock heavy duty Barteaux is an excellent worker. You will likely have to sharpen both before using.

I have a battle rat, If you are looking for a knife that can handle heavy use/abuse and chopping duties, look no further. It is a great value.
Edit:
It is also superior to the Gerber in all respects.

So, Battle Rat would be better
Yes, for those two there is no contest. You can easily lash a BR to a pole if you want and just stab the point through plexiglas if you are trapped by mimes or something. Outside of those senarios it it a nice mini-machete class blade.

hehe

you know, sometimes i wonder about the marketed functions of a lot of knives these days. im willing to bet that more 'glass breakers' on knives are being used to break into cars as opposed to break out of them.

There are some senarios for which a glass breaker is useful, not for most people but you can see for people in some lines of work, and just jamming the point in will dent/chip the tip as glass is really hard, however you can just hit it with the back of the knife and break it readily.
