Whats the best end finish on a blade?

Hello...I'm getting a sharpmaker soon. After using the M, F, UF sticks....whats a better finish to put on the blade? Polish or stropping? I like the look of polished edges but is it sharper than stropping? Or can you strop after you polish the blade? THANKS FOR ANY ADVICE -Smith

A stropped edge is a polished edge. At least it is if you use compound on your strop. There's a reason straight razors are stropped to a high polish. It's sharper.
