I've been using imageshack, just because, well.... no good reason,
but I'm wondering what is the general consensus on which site is the best.
I'm looking for simplicity, file size, FREE, and speed.
Imageshack is pretty good for my lowly needs, but I'd prefer something a little faster, and maybe somewhere that will host larger pics as well. If imageshack, is the best, so be it, I know beggars can't be too picky.
I'm not an expert, as you can tell. Thanks for the help.
Oh, avoiding spyware and ads is good too.

ImageShack is indeed one of the best - I don't like the way it organizes photos - so I tend to use it for one-off photo posting - like where I get an image from another website for posting once to a forum.

I like PhotoBucket.com for the way I can organize photos - this is where I normally host my own photos for use on forums.

I think PhotoBucket and ImageShack are the two most well known and popular hosting sites - but would be very interested in hearing of any others.

All I know, is I hate Imageshack or whatever the site is that makes every pic a link that opens up a new page with their site, or makes you click on a small thumbnail that opens the pic in a slow loading page full of ads. I like photobucket, personally.

My fav is www.flickr.com

You can host 200 images there for free. Well more then 200 actually but if you exceed 200, your old image will not be shown on the site but it's still stored there and you can link to them. They will appear again when you delete your new photos or pay for the subscribtion.

I also like the way they organize the photos. All my leather work is stored there if you want to have a look.

PS: usual disclamer applies.

Yup. Me too. And THAT would be why it's free...

I make usage of clickable thumbs sometimes, but that's out of courtesy for dial-up users. NO ADS!

Somehow there are other free sites whose links don't expire and don't have to show ads. I dunno how they stay alive. It's business.

Fototime--it's NOT free, but it will be here well down the road....

WM, keep at it. I am not chastising YOU, just a chance to say a few words. :)

that's imagevenue. imageshack lets you link directly to the pic.

I have been very happy with Flickr. I started with a free account, liked it and upgraded my account to a Pro.

I've used Epson PhotoCenter for years. It has the same software that the old PhotoPoint site had. It's free, allows up to 100mb of storage, and you can link directly to any of the pictures (thumbs, medium, or large pics.) I currently have over 700 pics in my account with plenty to spare. You can also create folders, and rearange your pics however you'd like. You can create private folders with password access, too.

Here's a link to my site so you can see if you like it.

Is this how everyone posts their pictures on Blade Forums? I want to show pics sometimes, but don't know how to do it.

I'm another satisfied Photobucket user...

I've been using http://www.picturetrail.com/ for many years. I started out free, but but I've been a paying member most of the time. I find it to be fast and easy to use with lots of nice additional features like slideshow and other different ways of displaying your photos.
