for about 150$ i want a choper and just a good quality knife because i dont want to get a swamp rat or a scrap yard because im realy going to abuse it and for steels i want some kind of carbon or tool steel

you could check out the Rat Cutlery RC-6., 1095 steel, blade length 6.5", cutting edge length 5.75"
http://www.ratcutlery.com/rc-6.htm

knivesshipfree.com is taking preorders(IIRC they're shipping real soon)., I'm sure other sites are as well that just happened to be the one I saw

I have an RC-3 and an RC-4 and have been super satisfied with both

That's supposed to be why you GET a Swamp Rat or Scrap Yard knife! :)

Not that RAT doesn't make good knives (you may also want to check out Ranger) but seriously, nothing takes a whoopin' like the Busse family knives- it's what they're made for! And the guarantee is there for a "safety net" if you can manage to need it.

Sounds like somebody's gonna have some fun- let us know what you get, what you do to it, and how it holds up! :D

I'd say that the Ranger RD7 fits your category. Less than $100 too!

I know some don't like the shallow saber grind and the general clunkiness of it, but I own Busses and I consider my most indestructible knife to be the MOD 4 Survival knife. You can still find them around for about $80. I love it for chopping and as a general implement of destruction. 7" carbon steel blade.

Scrapyard Scrapper 6, Ranger RD7, R.A.T. RC-6, Ontario RAT7, Ka Bar Bowie, Busse...

He said $150 get me a Busse chopper for that.
Busse or Sharpmaker two answers too any question.

You should avoid painting with such a broad brush when you have no idea what you are talking about.

The Old Line Swamp Rat Choppers were under $150, and so is the Scrap Yard Dog Father. Of course you would have to pay secondary market prices at the moment. At some point in the (near?) future there will be a 7" Bladed Scrap Yard Chopper.

Given the price range, you might want to check into some of the Himalayan Imports daily deals. some burly choppers to be sure.
