My new Damascus Tighe Breaker will be here in the day or so and I want to make sure I buy the correct products to maintim the steel and finish properly.

Depends on if you plan on using the knife or just keeping it in the house. If you're using it keep it coated with oil after its cleaned & dried. If its sitting around the house put a little coat of Renaisance Wax (? spelling).

+1 on the Renaissance Wax

It will more then likely be an EDC but will only be used for SD. It won't be in the elements other then in a sheath of some sort on my belt. I will have a smaller EDC for daily use (most likely my SOG Tomcat III).

I have been led to believe that Damascus has more possibility for corrosion and so I want to keep it protected. I'll get the Wax but if there is anything else anyone can think of it would be appreciated.

According to the gun magazine tests with water and salt water, the best rust preventative is called Eezox. In several tests it beat out everything else by a substantial margin. I have some of their new Knife Care in the mail but won't be able to really comment for months or years 'cause I'm not going to TRY and rust my knives.
