What's the best way to neutralize Loctite?

I hope the question makes sense. Let me explain, I ruined three screws on my new Spydie Rookie when I couldn't get them to loosen up so that I could switch the clip to tip-up carry. Mike at Spyderco, who is sending new screws, thanks Mike, told me that some times the techs get carried away with the Loctite. So I want to be prepared for that possibility the next time I get a new knife. How do I get Loctite to "let go"? Any ideas/experiences will be appreciated.

Soldering iron or a really hot hair dryer, or a heat gun.

Once loc-tite is releaved clean screw with solvent like Acetone.

I 2nd that!!!

except if you loosen screws on a tip a folder (that is if the clip is on the pivot end) watch out using a heat gun if it has synthetic bushings!!! A solderinmg iron would be the 1st thing you should try.

Tip for today:

Before using a soldering iron on the screw-heads to loosen-up the LocTite, be sure that the soldering iron is clean and totally free of solder.
