whats the best way to sharpen your knife

im going camiping and im going to bring some thing to sharpen my knives and there stainless and i think im going to get a stone but i dont know witch one to get

for camping I would use a folding diamond hone with coarse and fine sides. After using my knives on fire starting flint, the edges are often rolled and my ceramic lansky isn't enough to bring it back. I imagine it's probably inconvienient to use stones that need lubrication.

get some waterproof sandingpaper in 1200 or 2500 grit.
Use your thigh as a stroppingboard, and some spit to lube..
