Whats the deal with the Super cqc-8

Can't seem to find a dealer that has the SF Plain edge in stock. They all have them listed as backorder. Was this not a good seller for Emerson or is it on its way to being discontinued for other reasons?
 
Pretty much any Emerson you're interested in will be on backorder. The waveless CQC7B was missing for half a year and dealers just recently started getting them in stock. You'll just have to keep checking.
 
Each model is manufactured in batches. Keep looking, it will turn up eventually.

As said, many manufactuers make knives in batches. There are exceptions, but this is how EKI does it.
