**What's the difference between Mach 1 and Max 1?**

What's the difference between the Mach 1 and the Max 1?

Why was the Mach 1 discontinued? The Max 1 looks the same? Does the Max 1 have a chisle grind?

Was a satin, plain edged Mach 1 ever made? I only see black coated ones.
 
I don't understand why they changed the name and changed it to a chisle grind. I thought the v-grind cuts better. I prefer the mach 1 name.
 
It is a "V" grind. And the name was changed due to a conflict with the razor-blade of the same name, or so I've heard.
 
the razor blade story intrigues me, i woulda thought if anybody had a patent/trademark/etc on mach 1 it woulda been ford for the mustang mach 1, ford even made the mach not that long ago. maybe the razor people bought it ??

could certainly be true though, just sounds weird to me
