whats the difference between the esee 3 and mil?

Im looking at getting my first esee and Im going in the direction of the 3. I want to get one with the sharpened pommel and serrations. Ive narrowed it down to these two:

I know I want serration and canvas micarta, but the only difference I can find , other than the color, is that the pommel on the mil is already sharpened and has a jump sheath. It is also ~$10 more. Are there any other things Im missing?
 
The MIL had canvas micarta scales that are a little grippier than the linen micarta of the "standard" ESEE3. There are no liners on the MIL either.

EDIT:
actually, maybe the desert tan standard 3 comes with canvas...my post is now useless!
 
I own a 3-mil but not a regular 3 the 3 mil comes with the sharpened glass breaker pommel
foliage green molded sheath with jump proof molle back, boot clip & molle locks.
