Whats the difference?

I am looking at the Emerson Specwar and the SOFCK. I am interested in the plain edge tanto version. Is there any real difference between the two knives besides the wave on the SOFCK? The EKI homepage says the Specwar is 3.5" compared to 3.4" for the SOFCK. Is this correct? I would certainly give up an extra tenth of an inch for the wave. Anyone's input on these two models and the benefits and drawbacks of each would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The knives are very similar. The body is almost exactly the same. The blade of the SOCFK is more akin to the CQC7, being thicker edge to spine the the Specwar. Plus the SOCFK is waved.

My opinion only, but I like the blade on the SOCFK better and love the wave.

Thanks John, Does anyone have pictures of the two knives next to each other or 2 of the same scale so I can compare the difference?

Also, after visiting tacticaledge.com and playing around with options it appears I could order one with green handles, tanto, satin finish, plain edge. Is this correct, or are these options not availible together? The reason I ask is that I have read that the Tanto blades only come partly serrated. I would like it plain if at all possible.

Thanks. I had seen Don's site before. Some good pics. I am still looking for a direct comparo pic with a SOCFK and Specwar. Also interested to find out if indeed the tanto can be had in satin finish plain edge.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Reed, thats awesome. I really like the blade on the Specwar much better. I also found a great price on one just the way I want it. I can make do without the wave (already have a mini-com). Thanks for all the help/advice.
