hey, so i'm a bit behind on the improvements/modifications on the SBT lineup.

what's the differences between the 882SBT, 882SBTG, 887, and 889?

thanks.

882SBT - Taccom handles, ATS-34 combo-edge Blade

882SBTG - G10 Handles, ATS-34 combo-edge Blade

887SBT - Taccom Handles, 420HC combo-edge blade

889 - Taccom Handles in 3 different colours (Black, OD, Coyote Brown), 420HC Black oxide coated plain edge blade.

Also, the 882SBTG handle is put together using black coated Torx screws, the rest of the series is held together using silver rivets.

A quick visit to www.buckknives.com would have answered this question for you.

thanks for the info. i did check out buck's website, but i guess i just skimmed over the details too fast.

what i'm really concerned about is the liner. i remember a while back about the stink over the original SBT liners. i've heard that since, buck has made the liners thicker on some of the model(s). which one(s) would those be?

thanks.

The liner on the 882SBTG is thicker than the SBT, and the 889 linders, as I understand it, are thicker yet.

kk so the 889 liners are the thickest of them all? cool.

thanks for your help.
