whats the Equivalent or close match in comparison to.........

that's what I was kind of thinking, im wanting to compare the Spyderco manix-zt 0350 and the Benchmade ???

Well, what do you see as the similarities between the 350 and Manix?

To me, they are very different knives, and so I am a little confused about what, if anything, there is to compare?

OP, please help!

I was looking at an older thread on someone who was comparing the Manix 2 and the ZT 0350 and a lot of people responded. I know they are 2 different knives but apparently they were close enough for a somewhat comparison so since I have the two and was looking at buying a Benchmade I thought I would get some input. maybe price and quality I guess.

im an old school collector (35 years) and 98% of my knives are all Case XX. so please pardon me for not being too slick when it comes to these fancy knives, lol when I pulled the trigger on my first Kershaw leek I was hooked. so then came the ZT then the Spyderco now looking for a Bnechmade.

The 300SN! Great knife. People who gripe about how bad it flips, just don't know how to run a flipper. At least the right way.

Okay. I'm going to change my answer to a Benchmade Stryker.

Solid work knife, available without an assist. Not the most expensive knife in their lineup, but still quality.

Are you looking for something with a recurve like the 0350, or something with size closer to the XL or standard Manix? Or something with the liner lock like the ZT, or one of the various lock styles used on the Manix?

Benchmade is really the 'AXIS knife company now'...a huge portion of their knives are AXIS, and that only makes sense as it is an exceptional system that has made Benchmade hugely popular. So your biggest BM selection is going to be AXIS, but they will be different from the others. Benchmade and Spyderco have an interesting history; while they make knives in the same price, size, and even steel ranges, the actual products they produce are radically different from each other, so comparing is really hard.

I think the Rift, Contego, and Ritter Griptilian all have some similarities to the other two...if this is your first Benchmade, those three are outstanding knives that really perform. The 710, 520, 806, 940/943, and a few others are also Benchmade 'classics' in medium-to-large size. But my favorite model from them for a large, hard-work knife is the Contego...it fits the hand so well and is available in both M4 and M390...serious awesomeness steel.

If you like the way the blade on the Manix performs, you may find the Ritter Griptilian to be the best pick for you personally.

Nah, it's the Bone collector. 3.5mm blade stock, G10, full steel liners and high quality steel. Too bad it was disco'd.

950 Rift all the way. Excellent ergos imo, perfect blade shape and packs as much blade in that handle as possible. I think its slightly lighter than both and carries in the pocket slimmer as well. The g10 is smoothed out where the pocket clip meets the scales so it pulls out of the pocket smoothly and wont rip up your pants. Not sure why more knives aren't like that. Very small but genius detail. My Manix and 0350 I used to have needed the g10 sanded ever so slightly.

Disclaimer: im biased towards the 950, its darn near perfect in my opinion .

If I was comparison shopping I would agree with most that it would be a Rift. However, Why get something comparable to what you already own? You got some beefy folders. Why not go for something more slim and pocket friendly? If you can, go to a store and check out the 940/943 It's a manual folder that fires out faster than most assisted knives. lightweight aluminum with a 3.5" blade and you will forget it's in your pocket.
