What's the going $$ on a full sheet of Kydex?

It's about time for me to get some more sheath material and a local-ish place will sell me a full sheet of Kydex in 0.09" for $175 + $12 cutting fee. When I ordered this stuff 5-6 years ago it was $100, maybe, for the same thing. Just curious if anyone else has ordered Kydex recently and about what they paid for it. And, in a similar vein, if someone has extra Kydex or Concealex from a sheet they bought I may be interested in just buying some smaller 2'x2' pieces from you, if the price is right. Whatever works. It's hard to get an idea on the cost of materials like these because most of these plastics places don't publish their prices on their websites and this is the only one I've heard back from for a quote.
 
$175 a sheet, yikes!!
Glad I got mine back when it was just $80 a sheet. Still got most of it too. hehehehehehehehehe!!! :D
 
I just bought a piece not to long ago. I think its 90 bucks plus 10 for UPS shipping. Not too bad :D
 
Whoa. These guys are way off, then. I thought it seemed weird that the price would double over 5 years, but you never know. Where did you get yours, Brian?
 
Thanks, Brian. I shot them an email so we'll see what they have to say. The place that wanted $175 was less than an hour from my house. Sheesh! I bought a sheet of Kydex and a sheet of Concealex when I started doing custom sheaths back in the day, and it's just running out now, so I should be able to get a good few years out of another sheet, too.
 
Brian, you must've gotten the deal of the century from Piedmont, or we're talking about two different things when we say "sheet." Standard sheets of Kydex are 4'x8', I think. Anyway, they want $272+$20 shipping for 0.09 and $241+$20 for 0.08! :grumpy: That makes $175 sound a LOT better! :rolleyes:
 
humm..I got my 4x8 sheet of 100 grade .080 for $90 plus shipping. I wonder if I got a deal because we use alot of plastic where I work?
 
David, Google isn't doing much to help me find them. Do you have a phone # or website address for them?
 
Oh, and I guess I should've shared my find... I did an eBay search and couldn't find sheets of Kydex in what I needed, but I did email one of the companies (Harva plastics or something along those lines) and I ended up getting a full sheet of 0.093", cut in 2x2 squares, for $57 + $11 shipping! Ha! Leave it up to me to find the cheapest prices! :) She's out of 0.08" (I think I'm off 0.06" for smaller knives. That stuff sucks), but should have some in 4 weeks or so. I haven't actually put my order in and seen how the company works beyond email, but so far so good, and at 1/3-1/5 of the price of what other companies were quoting me I'll be willing to put up with a lot of $hit from these guys if that's what it takes! :D
