What's the hold-up for Boker Plus Fitz Neck Knife?

I've had a Boker Plus Fitz Necker on preorder since August at GPKnives.

Their anticipated shop date keeps getting pushed back. Currently showing 11/30/2011.


I just received a Boker Plus Rambler this week (it had similarly been shown as preorder and dates kept slipping).

The Rambler is really nice and I am dying to get my hands on the Fitz. I had hoped that shipment was for both knives.

Any idea why the hold up and when will the product start flowing?
 
My backorder report shows 10/20 as a tentative date for these leaving the factory. We always push back dates on the site just to be on the safe side.

My guess is that these will be in our hands either this week or next as most of the new items announced at BLADE are starting to show up.
 
I have a lot of shipments coming in this week and next. As soon as I get through all of the paperwork, I will let you guys know if the Fitz is on the list this time.

I am really, really impressed with my Boker Plus Rambler knife. Its just about a perfect size for a EDC fixed blade. It has such a comfortable short handle. It has nice weight to it and balances very nicely in the hand. It came razor sharp.

Funny thing- I accidental stumbled upon it on the GPKnives.com site while was looking for updates on the Fitz Neck Knife. I figured while I was waiting on one knife, i might as well order the other and wait on 2. Sometimes you just get lucky.

One bit of constructive criticism for Boker. The rambler is too good of a design not to deserve an upgrade to the sheath. I would gladly pay more for it with an upgraded sheath. I will probably get someone to make me a custom kydex sheath that can be hung around my neck (and accept a belt type clip)

Any update on what is holding up this knife?

GPK has pushed back their estimate for shipping now to Jan 16, 2012.
 
I haven't gotten any news on this. I will try to find out what I can.

I got them in today, they will start shipping out in the next few days.

Delivery is tomorrow!

The newer photos up on GPKnives are slightly different from previous ones. I like the slightly more recurve of the blade, handle scale color and brass pins.

Really looking forward to finally getting my hands on this knife tomorrow.:D
