What's the inscription on the Spyderco UK Pen Knife?

I just got a Spyderco UK Pen Knife and am very pleased with it. I am puzzled though by the laser etched design on the side of the blade by the pocket clip (if the clip is in position for right handers). It's in the same place as the Spyderco logo but the opposite side and looks like a Runic S with a triangle next to it.

I hadn't seen this in pictures of the blade online, does anyone know what this is?
 
That's the "SAL" logo, put on all the Spyderco knives Sal designed AFTER Eric joined him.

Earlier knives, like the Millie, don't have this.
 
Thanks for letting me know. The box looked bent and pre-opened when I got it from Amazon so I wasn't sure if I had received some modified version. It's a cool looking maker's mark.
