We have threads about your newest and even what you have in the mail and it occurred to me even the most dedicated Buck collectors sometimes let one go..Some are traded for a different Buck or other knife and in fact for long time collectors of Old Custom shop knifes sometimes it's the only way you can pry a good one out of strong hands. Many times it's not about the money and I know of a few collectors who search for a rare Buck just to trade for a one they want badly! Three or even four way trades are not uncommon.
Of course some are let go strictly because they need to raise funds. There's a LOT of reasons! Collectors have Medical emergencies of course but sometimes they just spent more than there Buck budget AND don't want to end up in 'Buck Jail like I did once or twice.
So what is your last Buck that's now gone? Mine was the latest 112 BOTM I had bought for the collection. I have a friend who took me for a 10 hour deep sea fishing trip and mentioned she always wanted a automatic knife and couldn't find one. I had bought the first auto 112 but because it wasn't odd in any way I gifted it to my son Richard and when I needed a auto fast I swapped the new BOTM to Richard back for the auto. My fishing buddy was like a kid at Christmas! I almost like giving a Buck as getting one..but not quite lol!

My brother liked my drop-point 5160 Buck 112, which I almost never carried, so I gave it to him a month or two ago.

I bought my father a Buck 102 for Christmas 2018, and he likes it a lot. It’s the only fixed blade he owns now, and he always takes it with him on his trips.

Beyond that, the only other Buck knife I’ve gotten rid of was my 110, which I stupidly sold when I was 17. I intend to buy another 110 someday soon.

For at least 7 or 8 years I gave away all kinds of Bucks to our Band and friends and family for Christmas. First to the men and after a few years the granddaughter's and various girlfriends and wives. I REALLY liked giving Bucks for Christmas..

One of my poker playing buddies will occasionally ask how much I want for a knife. I'll reply, "I need X for this one." His reply will be, "I'll give you Y." I'll say nah and we'll continue playing poker. At a game a few months ago I pulled out a Sprint Pro with the burlap micarta handles. After handling it, he said, "What'll you take for it?" I said, "I need a hundred for it." He pulled out his wallet and handed me a hundred dollar bill!
Nobody, myself included, expected that :D

I recently gave my brother one of the anniversary badged 112’s and a friend a 112FG from the custom shop. They’re my two favorite people to hunt with so they gotta have a nice knife! Plus they feed me when I come around lol.

A couple years ago I gave my nephew (then 11) a SK Blades Lil' Jack 112 for his highschool graduation present. (he graduated a couple years early. I figured he deserved a special knife for working so hard.) I think it was the last Lil' Jack they had left.

Yep. Home Schooled from age <1 "Baby Can Read" and "Baby Can Add" work if you spend the time. At 2 he could spell things like cat, dog, horse, college, cardio vascular ... and tell you the definition, read and understand the fliers at the airports (his parents did a lot of business travel) His favorite subjects in highschool were Trig and Physics. Earned a 4.0 grade average. Getting a 4.0 grade average in his college courses now. I'm not sure what his major is. It was computer programming games and graphics, but he got bored with that and changed his major. I think he's studying law, business, and sports med now.
