What's the longest you had to save to buy a knife, and what did you buy?

The longest I ever had to save to buy a knife was the year I waited and saved to buy a William Henry P10 Pearl handled Lancet.

How about you?

The longest I had to save. Time not being relative to what you have to do to get the money was two months. What I had to do:

- Change soiled bedsheats.
- Clean up after people being sick.
- Wash soiled and dirty people.
- Fight emotionally disturbed people on drugs.
- Throw out -as above-.
- Tie -as above- down.
- Talk down psychotic people.
- Discuss bad behavior with the police (the cops behaved bad).
- Explain to people a gazillion times why they have to rest and that smoking isn´t essential.

What I got for it will be worth it. What it was? You´ll see, you´ll see. ;)

Year and a half. Busse Combat Knife Company American Kensei Wakizashi. Had to save and wait for it to be made. 'Nuff said.

Still saving: Want a Yoshido Yoshihara katana blade. If need be, I'll take out a second mortgage.

Still waiting for a Larry Davidson Hornet. Not all his fault, equipment problems. Three months and counting, but it will be worth the wait!!!:D

One year if I count the Dobruski number 64. Don't have it yet but I have been told its worth the wait also.:)
