In a month, a week or a day.. anything really. I spent over 2000 dollars this week alone on knives. I saved quite a bit in the past year and a half, most of it is going to school and savings but i put aside some money because I REAAAALLY wanted a razer gaming notebook. Well last week I lost my stretch and in replacing it I came across so many knives that I had wanted and had been eying for so long. One thing led to another and I'm now the owner of 14 more knives, two of which are already in my possession. My desktop is still pretty decent and my laptop runs fine I don't know why in gods name i wanted that razer laptop, now I have all the knives i ever wanted and enough left over to get a wicked edge or an Edge pro!!

I think i have in over 2 grand now myself, but that was over a 2 years. Knife collecting is seriously hurting my other hobbies, my computer is in need of an upgrade as well, and I wanna pick up a new guitar or something

Seriously? 2 grand in a week?

Well....you know what they say: This thread is useless without pictures.

I spend $950 a couple weekends ago at the annual USN G4 Gathering. I bought a John Grimsmo Norseman and a Shirogorov Hati 95 in carbon fiber. With Wicked Edge supplies and other stuff, I ended up spending over a grand. I hate to think about spending that much but it's kind of nice saving up with the intent of letting yourself blow a bunch of money on a specific item or even, like a knife show. I've been saving up ever since for next month, when I will drive down to California and attend the California Custom Knife Show. Hopefully my luck is good, because I intend on picking up a Hinderer XM and a Les George VECP, and you've gotta win the lottery to buy either of those knives directly from them.

BTW, go for the Wicked Edge over the Edge Pro, IMHO. It's quite a bit more money but totally worth it if you want the most consistent edges.

WOW! My wife found the reciept for my BK-2 and flipped. She couldn't understand why "knives cost so much!".

Did buy 3 days a go a Direware solo v2 TAD 1 of 10 for $1850
was thinking also to EDC it but i want to buy/trade a second (normal solo) to do this..

I'll let you all know how much I spend after the Blade show. I plan on getting most of the small tools and SUPPLIES that I need to start. I can guarantee I will be broke at the end of the day. I am still confused on what I should get to start off with. I already have decided that I will get a Wilmont grinder ASA Chris gets them done in Oct. I have a metal cutting bandsaw, buffer, flexshaft, torches, but I am not sure on the amount and types of belts I should buy, sundry supplies and such. Searching doesn't help much. Any suggestions on a beginning inventory of supplies????? Teddy

 Agreed! Plus you're a sick man! And a word of avice - don't start sharpening all of your new (already sharp) knives. An EP obsession could grind away a lot of dollars that don't need it.

Did you get a multi-strop set-up with compounds? You're slipping - more stuff to get! How about lubricants & rust protection? Are you set there? :p :D

Ahaha, well I've already posted a picture of the sebenza in the chris reeve subforum, as for all the other pictures its gonna have to wait till i get the knives in my hand (stupid Canada post) and get my internet set up (stupid rogers!!). Ill wait till i can show you guys some good hi res photos. I'm still deciding between the EP and the WE, I would love to get the wicked edge but all this spending is making me itchy and I want to sharpen NOOOOW. As for strops I'm undecided, still doing the research but ill have it all figured out soon enough. I'm just glad to be able to step up from the sharpmaker, great as it is y'all making me jealous with your mirror polish edges :P

Busse-kin... need I say more? Every time you order, it's like $2000.

Most I have spent on one knife was $900 on a Burn swing guard.

The most I have ever spent on one knife, the Yuna I have being built will be about $835.00 when it is all said and done, what can I say I am a sucker for finely crafted steel!

Last month I visited Arkansas on invitation of Mr A.G. Russell.

I spent a lot of time in the Russell shop and the days at the AG Russell knife event. It was the most expensive knife experience I've ever had. But luckily also the coolest so far.
I spent well over $1000 that weekend.
