Forgive my lack of knowledge, I have a Buck Custom folder #0635. I've had it about 20yrs, it's blade is appx. 3 1/2in. The handle has brass bolsters with a cabin w/deer engraved in the middle of the handle on both sides. It's a beautiful knife, but I don't know the model or value. It resembles a Buck 110?..help. Thanks.

Jeff,
Any luck on identifying my Buck? Don't mean to be impatient...just don't want this thread to sink to the bottom. Thanks.

Salmon,
This is what I have from Joe...
sounds like the pewter handle deer 110 we made in 1984. There were 500 made and they sold for $100. Today's price is $150 says Levine's.

What about the 0635 serial #? I'm glad you asked!!!
I have a box of them in various stages and one of them is serialized 1300 something. The project was not shipped whole. I do not have the info on how many got out but it may be that they went out, out of order too. 500 is, I am sure, an educated guess by Vern Taylor. I would call it a "ball park" figure at best

I hope this helps...

Jeff

Jeff,
I believe your right, the handle does appear to be pewter with a buck and a cabin on one side and a buck w/two does on the other. It's encased in a wood and plexiglass case. Only one contradiction, I'm sure the knife is older than 1984. My father gave it to me and he passed on in 1979?...Make any sense? If you come across any additional info. please let me know. Thank you very much for the info. thus far. I really appreciate it!
