What do you recommend to someone who has already got a WWII, AK and a 12-incher (khukuris)?

What is the next khukuri that would complement the existing ones?
The Chiruwa AK seems like a good bet. The kobra is trifle too long. The M43 looks interesting.

That HI bowie seems tempting.

Any suggestions, guys?
;)

I personally wouldn't get anything over 18 inches. I have a 21inch GS and it's more like a short sword than a khukuri - still very cool but more of a wall hanger although Sher deffinetly made it for go.

I always went for my Chiruwa but I gave that away - when my mate's dad back in SA set eyes on it ..... you guys know the story.

I would recommend a Chiruwa to anyone as a great Khuk and it is my personal favourite user.

Then again they're all so good.

sirupati or gelbu special

Maybe a Pen Knife.

Chiruwa AK, or another regular AK in a different size would be a good bet.

If you want something fancier, maybe a chitlangi or a Hahnuman

I have a Chiruwa AK and an M43 and love both of them. The AK is smaller and is a great tool; the M43 has more beautiful lines, and seems more weapon-oriented to me. Both feel great and are light enough for me, but I'm a big guy.
If you want something a little different, get a small kobra or Sirupati. Slim and fast. They're what I have my eye on for a next purchase. Well, that and a Dui-chirra, if I ever get the money...

I'd second Stripey's advice, but also add the Hanuman to the list of considerations. It has a nice carved handle, a double-fullered blade and a big scabbard with lots of extra tools.

Golok; you didn't say how long the AK and WWll were.

If you don't have an 18" Ak you need one. Same for WWll

I'd get a 18" or 20" sirupati, chitlangi, or gelbu special.

I'd say a Gelbu or a Sirupati. It's a totally different blade style from the ones you already have.

Or maybe something with a watch gear. :)

Edited 4 pore engrish

Golok-- If you don't have an 18" AK, you need one. If size/weight is a concern, ask Uncle Bill to pick you out a lighter one. My 18" by Shanker is significantly lighter and slimmer than my 18" by Sher. I would also recommend an M43. A kobra or sirupati would also be nice. I'm not really in to the thinner bladed khukuris, but they are kinda growing on me, especially that kobra that got posted in the second round yesterday. Oh, almost forgot, the BAS is a nice all-around model. It was my first khukuri, and I still like it quite a bit. Not too big to carry, but big enough to get most jobs done.

I have an 18inch AK, a 15inch WWII and a couple of khukuris which I picked up here and there. One of them is pretty old with ivory or bone handle.

I have my eye on a Chiruwa. It looks quite solid but then so is the M43.

Decisions. Decisions.
:D

Golok-- the M43 has a chiruwa style handle, so you could kill two birds with one khukuri, so to speak.

I would recommend the Chiruwa.

Compared to the M43 it is more like a trusty tool rather than a very nice weapon which can be used as a tool.

you might try the AK Bowie. Chiruwa constructed, nicely fullered and balanced. or, Gelbu special. lighter built, but an easy worker.
