I have never owned one of these and no one I know has one. I was interested in the warrior but have no idea how REKAT's overall quality is? Any opinions??

I have a Carnivour and a Sifu. Both are very solid knives, very tight in theire lock-up, and very smooth in thier action. Their fit and finish may not be quite up to, say, the standard set by Spyderco, but their knives are built like Mack trucks or Caterpillar tractors extremely heavy duty and solid. There was a guy who wanted to test the lock on the Carnivour, so he duct-taped an open knife to a six foot length of pipe and started to bash the back of the blade against a tree. Now this is downright abuse of the tool, and would in no way be reasonably covered by any company's warranty, but the Carnivour passed with flying colors. After several bashes, the blade was still locked securely open, but the knife had torn itself loose from the duct tape! I would certainly trust a REKAT rolling lock.

I just picked up a Carnivour Cub. I will agree with Hugh that the finish is not custom quality but this knife is built STOUT. Thick liners & G10 slabs along with solid no wobble AT ALL lock up. The side button to unlock the blade with works great and the knife came with a razor sharp edge out of the tube. I would have liked the carry clip to be a little higher but its no biggie. The fit is good and the finish, while not a polished finish is good enough. I am not talking about gaps in the handles and sloppy blade fit or anything like that when I say the finish is not custom. Liner edges are not polished, the edges of the G10 are slightly rough and not smooth, things like that. These are things that I could smooth out in 20 to 30 minutes with some 600 grit paper. The big things are RIGHT. The blade closes solidly and is centered perfectly in the liners, has a great action on opening and closing, you know the things that matter most. Its not a presentation grade knife but it is a SOLID knife! Just MHO.

P.S. forgot to mention, the logo and lettering are all straight and legible with no smudges. I hate smudges!!

I have a Pioneer II and a Sifu. The finish on some of the early knives was a little coarse, and they are still not beautiful by say Benchmade standards, but the Rolling Lock is superb, the Pioneer handle is extremely comfortable and ergonomic, and the blades cut well. The Pioneer is an excellent cutting tool. The same should apply to the Carnivore, though I have not handled many of those.
