What's the real difference?

I've been thinking about buying my first ZT. And when I think of ZT I think of that thall, fat belly blade. So I've been looking at the 0350 and 0300 series. Only trouble is they look so similar, and the blades are made of the same S30v. So why the $165.00 difference???
 
0300 is larger, has 3-D machined scales (G10 front, titanium back), and is a framelock vs. the 0350, which is smaller, has flat textured G10 scales on both sides, and is a liner lock. If you prefer the size of the 0350 and want to try out a fancier blade steel, they also make a dealer-exclusive variation in M390.

The 0300 is a full titanium frame lock knife with 3d milling and is a tank of a knife.

The 0350 is smaller and is a steel liner lock with G10 overlays. The 0300 also has a solid 1/8" thick pivot screw and the 0350 uses a standard hollow pivot.
 
Well then. Looks like its worth springing the extra cash for the 0300. I actually prefer larger knives so that's no problem. I would like to see them make the frame a one piece titanium frame. Now that would be a crazy tough knife.

Knives tend to break somewhere on the blade rather than at the pivot. A stronger handle wouldn't do much when that's not the weak point in the design.

The 0350 is small for my hand and my hand isn't particularly large. The handle isn't comfortable for me but ymmv. You might try to hold both if possible to see which fits your hand.
 
Hell, I'd still spring the extra cash for it. And I have fairly long skinny hands. But even if it doesn't fit I would just trade it or give it to someone else as a gift.
 
Well, I went ahead and got a 0300 Black Wash. Found a great deal online and couldn't pass it up. Thanks for the info y'all. By chance y'all have ANY negative points about the knife? And any experience with the black wash?
