What's the scoop on the nickle 112's?

Picked up my first one the other day (CaseyChaos got me to looking for one after posting about his) and did a little research. The nickle ones seem to be fairly scarce. I know Buck did an anniversary run of these but don't know much else other than 1987 seems to be the first time the nickle was offered in this model? Can anyone tell me what time frame these were made during? Though I primarily collect the 110 I've got a couple of 112's recently and was thinking that picking up a nickle 112 from each year they were made might be a nice side collection to my Hunters. TIA

P.S. If anyone would like to post pics of their nickle 112's I'd sure love to see them.

I don't have many 112's. Most of mine are pre-dot 112's. I was able to find these two without doing too much digging;

I thought the rams horn 112 I have was NS, but it's not. Something about rams horn I like....a lot though!! :)

I picked up a nickel silver knife a while back as Badhammer mentioned. They're not all that common and like their big brother, they look pretty good sporting that nickel silver.

I had been hunting one a while and bought this one even though the fellow told me it was brass. I just knew it was NS from the pics.

I also have the Heritage 112 which is a dandy itself.

Thanks for all the photos. Those are some beautiful knives guys.

From the looks of if most of them are LE and or BCCI models. Any info on regular production as far as years of production? Was the FG model available as regular production? TIA

I'm not sure if I should blame BH for starting this thread or myself for opening it, but man those are some nice 112's everyone has posted.

I guess now I'm on the search for a couple of my own.

I just got one from 1993...a regular production model...it was a surprise item in a recently aquired lot....
She's in pretty rough shape...needs scales and at least bushing and pivot pin replacement....
Warning ! these photo's are not for the squeemish!!!

SAD.......:(
