for me its gonna be farmer and discontinued soldier alox... they're just solid, build to last and totally functional... just my humble opinion...

whats do you think guys?

Most Victorinox tools seem to last forever - especially the Alox flavors - so its hard to go wrong with your choices.

The Sebenza has a high-cost-per-function quotient so I would vote for the 125th Anniversary Heritage knife.

yup, you're right... er, maybe the "sebenza" is not the right word choice for this topic hehehe...

I'd go with the alox Soldier as well. A timeless classic. Unfortunately, mine's about to fall apart. Thirty or 40 more years and I'll have to replace it. :D

too bad they're limited to 2010 and never been imported to my country... would someday victorinox made a mass production damascus with 61HRC blade so the the cost would be affordable?

actually it doesnt even have to be damascus, just use a modern metalurgy blade that got 60HRC sould it would got better edge holding in emergency situations...

but in this topic, the limited edition pioneer is indeed a "Sebenza" in SAKs world!

all the 93mm alox Saks definitely feels more robust and stronger than the cellidor saks...

but the reason i EDC a 84mm sportsman more than 10years is becouse its actually lighter, smaller, got toothpick, tweezer and small glasses screwdriver on the corkscrew...

its definately not as strong and as solid as my lovely soldier and farmer alox, but it gets the jobs done =)

thanks for the comments on my damascus one.

but the alox soldier is not discontinued, its still made in ibach switzerland and going strong! we work on offer it in colors too. that, for many swiss THE sak of theyr life will never be dead.
