i bought a CRKT Full Throttle because i wanted some bling... probably going to keep it new to give away as a Christmas present...

but what can i get from Kershaw that i can see myself in? (besides my Shun)

if not, u think i can polish the blade and pocket clip for a mirror finish? hmm...

High polished stainless steel leek 1660SS or a Rainbow leek 1660VIB for starters, I am sure there will be a few more suggestions. I really like the Bling appeal on the High polished leek , it is very sleek and Blingy !!!

There is the SS series. Chives are regular production and the Leeks were kinda limited (2500?? some odd) pieces.
They are very shiny, like chrome.

Then there is the VIB series, available in Chive, Scallion, Leek, Shallot and a few limiteds of other models. Also called Rainbow, Spectrum, Vibrant, Oil Slick

Hi ggfob-

I just bought the Kershaw centofante 1615.
It is small in size but the blade is polished and the scales are just as nice with the gray coating and you can see yourself in them also. No sure about their other models..

And yes, you can polish any stainless steel to a reflective shine. Not a job to do by hand. Will need a buff and some polishing compound and a dremal tool.

The Polished Stainless Leek is very shiny, and the Boron leek is pretty pimp, but I think the GOLD Leek would have to be the knife with the most Bling!

The VIB and SS knives are shiny as others mentioned. If you've got about 20 minutes to spare, use some fine cotton and simichrome polish and you can get almost any stainless steel shiny enough to use as a mirror. Somebody mentioned a Dremel, but personally I do it by hand. Just don't use polishing compound on etched (like the composite blades) or damascus because it will take out the etching / pattern. Likewise, polishing compound will remove the markings from your Kershaw blades. Not sure if this is a big deal for you; just thought it was worth mentioning.

I bling up my rainbow leek with isopropyl alcohol--that thing gets comments all the time when it rests in my pocket tip-up, one guy said it hurt his eyes...

i gave rainbow/vib a shot, not my cup of tea.

i will be looking for a Leek SS for sure. any more angles/lighting on the Baron finish? i would possibly like to mix that handle with a SS blade.

pass on the gold leek, although it is very bling, very nice. pass on the centofante, at least for now.

thanks for the suggestions. any pics on the 1660ss Leek? is it finished just like the Chive? any other with high polish?

Thanks!

Nice shiny pics Jeremy:thumbup: I tell ya if we could get Mikey to post some as well, we'd prove that this "family" has got more leeks than than a French restaurant, a produce stand, and 500 acres of farmland all put together!!:D

Well, I have a few. ;) Too bad I don't have them all in here though. Guess I'll have to fix that.

These are the pics from my Leek thread I had previously

2brothers - you have quite an extensive collection of leeks! Are there certain models you collect in general or do you try to get at least one of each kind?
