I', at home now[7:30 pm], but if I remember correctly the original #23 pattern had a carbon steel blade. These closeouts that were finished up with leftover parts are fitted with a 420HC or possibly a 440A blade. The blade is "about" 3.25", again, this is from memory. I'll check tomorrow.
Neat old traditional pattern, at a GREAT buy.
