what's the story behind the Ronin?

I don't know if this is old news, but apparently Spyderco has discontinued the Ronin. Any idea why?

Probably due to lack of sales. That's what usually does it.

I think its just to specialized. Not many poeple are in uhhm..slashing things up.
I have heard Yoijimbo has bitten the dust too.

It was DC'd over a year ago...low sales and Spyderco likes to rotate to new designs. Just about any collaboration model doesn't go for more than a couple of years on average. The Ronin is a great knife, I own at least 10 of them.
