What's the story behind the Tilt?

I recently was given a Kershaw Tilt by my father as a grad present. The fit and finish is incredible, and the action is ridiculously smooth (smoother than my 0560). A ton of technology went into making this knife, with the way the lock bar was cut at a 45 degree angle to replace a lock stabilizer to the insane amount of milling in the titanium and the scale-side titanium insert (where it says TILT!!). I'd be interested to know how it all came together. I assumed there'd be a video somewhere of Kershaw talking about the making of the knife, but I've not found that or even a thread. Does anybody know what the background of this knife is? Who designed it? Why V75? etc... I hate fanboyism, it's a huge problem on the internet, but it's impossible for me to not be a fanboy of Kershaw/ZT, they incredible work, better than most customs, and stay at reasonable price levels.

that's the markup price, some dealers sold them at $225, so kershaw must have charged even less than that.

There is a thread called "tilt . . . Again"
It's quite a few pages going back to when the first DLC tilts were made.

There were a lot of issues to overcome and work out for the Tilt. The project was Thomas's baby I think, or at least he had a hand in it.
