Topic.
I was trying to write a big response to someone today about the benefits of owning one of these three knives because of the dimensions of both blade and handle, but couldn't figure out what to call the blade shape.

It’s sort of a leaf/dropoint rolled into one imho. Or maybe a 3/4 leaf. Despite the apparent official description as a modified clip point in my view it lacks a clip.

Also, in Russia, we refer to this kind of blade as a tripple wedge.

The triple wedge is the concept of an "ideal" knife blade, according to which all three geometric projections of the blade should strive for a triangle: "a wedge in profile, a wedge in section, a wedge on the butt" (3rd one meaning spine)

Very interesting post indeed. I will read up more on this.

Sorry, I am totally new to the forum....how can I ask my own question/ start a new discussion?

Welcome! :) On the upper right hand side of the page there's a button that says "post new thread". Just under the search bar. Just click on that and you'll be on your way! It doesn't show on this page, but if you back out to the "Spyderco" main page it'll be there. Hope I explained that good enough for you to understand lol

Thanks man

If it says modified clip point, I'll go with that, bit I've always thought of it as more of a modified leaf.

I do believe Spyderco actually calls it a “modified clip point”

I call it PERFECTION
