What's the turn around time when sending our knives to Spyderco.

Hey member,

It's been almost 3 weeks now since I send Spyderco my PM2....not a word from them? Do they email you to let you know they got your knife? This is my first time sending to Spyderco. With Benchmade, they notify you immediately when they have your knife and advise you ETA.

In my experience with them, no they don't notify you when they receive it or when they send it back to you. Depending on how busy Charlynn is the turn around time is anywhere from 3 to 5 weeks IIRC so you should expect a package via UPS in the next week or so. Hope this helps

I just sent in my PM2 as well. I emailed them beforehand and they said they do not email you when they receive the knife or ship it back, and that the turn around was about three weeks from the time they receive it.

That's good to hear, as long as this is normal...I feel a lot better

The two times that I sent a knife out, I received it via UPS in the middle of the third week. No notifications.

Did you do tracking? I didn't and wasn't even 100% sure that they got it. But it worked out.

I asked Monday and was told that the turnaround is currently 3 weeks.

3 week turnaround in the email I received Monday! And no notification when the knife arrives or is sent out unless there is a problem.

Wouldn't up think notification is good business implementation....I understand if the knife is only with $40....but what if it's work $300+....just one email saying " we got it" now working.....wouldnt that ease the stress of a knife owner. Just my thought...Maybe they too busy to do it.
