Typically late fourties for Beta titanium which is as hard as it gets, as Mike mentioned
So I assume I'll be sharpening it quite often?
As others have said; depends on your use.
I use my Beta ti knives a lot. Super strong knives, light weight and sharp enough for heavy work for a considerable time.
They will never be as sharp as the keenest of steels, but the advantages far outweigh that (at least IMO. Horses for courses and all that happy BS).
The MPS I use as a camp/utility/hiking/camping/heavy duy skinning knife (when the latter is called for).
My ti MPU is used for a minimalistic kayak and skinning knife.
For kayaking its great as I go kayaking a lot and even with religious rinsing and cleaning/oiling every 'stainless' steel knife has developed rust spots.
The MPU simply sits in my kayaking rig and gets rinsed with fresh water after each trip on the water. It works great for that.
As a skinner, it'll zip through several deer with no noticable loss of sharpness before needing sharpening attention. A great knife and one I often bring along for trips.
