whats the value of a trooper dagger?

The Kershaw list price ('07 Kershaw catalog) is $325. At-least that'll give you an idea where to start in value. It's a VERY solid knife.
 
ebay price (and this is in a category by itself) runs up to about $150 in MINT with everything. Depends on number as well. Earlier ones better. I had a nice one awhile back and it got about 125
 
I would actually say according to completed auctions, that the average is around $160 and ebay stores they start at $170. Now with that being said if you have a very low serial number , say under 1000 and one with out the blood groove you could push it over $200 in mint condition. todays serial numbers are over 30,000. Also if you were lucky enough to have one with a carved Ivory handle it could bring $1000.

I'd go with dave's estimate, as I sold mine a year or two ago, and I didn't check the most recent auctions. Regardless, it's a cool knife. I was offering what I knew off the top of my head. I bought it for $60 at a pawn shop but you can't count that kind of crazyness
 
Very Nice !! Judging from serial number, it was made around 1980 , maybe early 1981. Great find, take me with you !!
