I have a very simple question but I've found it difficult to answer. I've look through the forums but I can't find it!

What is the weight on the CG BATAC and the SE (or LE) BATAC??

Thanks guys.

CG BATAC / Standard Micarta= 12.5 oz
CG BATAC / Mag G10= 14.1 oz
(so, it depends on the handle material)

CS BATAC (.26 thick)= 17 oz

I don't have an SE or LE, so maybe someone else can provide those weights...

The three CS Batacs I've handled have all been about the same thickness as the LE/SE's that is approx. .27"

Perhaps. Strongest Too. I just weighed mine 468 grams, or 16.7 oz. ( BATAC LE). For some reason originally I didn't like this blade. I think I wanted a smaller handle for the size ( my hands are very long, not soo much thick) but I like a lot of Blade in a small package. Now when I hold/move it, it doesn't feel the same. It is perfect!! The longer handle balances it very well. LE is all that I have held though. If the blade fills the need sizewise, don't sweat the weight.
I'm going out on a limb here and I know most will scoff, but I think the weight is a "non-issue" issue. On the other hand, if it is a valid point, you are already "lugging a ton of stuff". Stand on the scale and see if your body could give up those ounces. I'll probably regret penning this but I mean well...

I wish I hadnt sold my 2nd and 3rd BATAC. I regret it now. I got swepped up in Ash fevor. I think the Batac is the most perfect mid size Busse i've come across.

Looks, weight, size, blance. The ash just seems too big and clumsy in comparison. I think the skinny ash might give the batac a run for its money, but I dont have one of those.

So in answer to the question, Batac LE weight = perfect. =) hope that helps.

Thanks guys. All the other sites I viewed didn't have this basic info. It took real users to come up with the goods.

I was surprised to see the significant weight difference between different handle scales on the same knife design. It would be interesting to see the difference with the same size scales but with different materials.
